On assignment for Pitchfork two weeks ago, I waited over two hours to be front and center for Colbert and White at The High Line. They sang the national anthem together, and Colbert performed his single “Charlene 2 (I’m Over You),” released through Third Man Records.

I’ve been shooting a portrait series for Yours Truly, which has been a lot of fun. When I started I had zero experience with portraits, and I’ve been learning as I go along. Its been tough coming from the world of live music coverage where you don’t have control of the action. I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.
